We handle all four hay cube products that are produced by Harlan Feed.

  • Alfalfa Hay Cubes: This is our highest protein content cube. Great for bred mares and growing foals but we always reccommend that it be fed with a high quality grain or grass hay.
  • Alfalfa and Oat Hay Mix: 30 to 35% Oat Hay.  Our most popular product combines top quality Alfalfa with the best Oat Hay grown in the Sacramento Valley.  A perfect blend for any horse on the ranch.
  • Alfalfa and Teff Grass Hay: 35 to 40% Teff Grass Hay.  A new product using Teff Grass which compares favorably with Timothy Hay.  Lower protein and lower sugar than the oat & alfalfa mix hay cubes.  See the web links in the right hand column of our web page and start your own research.
  • Alfalfa, Oat and Ground Corn:  70% Alfalfa, 20% Oat Hay and 10% Ground Corn.  Our hottest feed, be ready to run.  We do not reccommend this cube blend unless you are riding or exercising your horses on a daily basis.

We always have the Oat blend and the Teff blend in stock but call ahead so that we may special order the other two products listed.

Teff Grass Cubes

We now have Teff Grass and Alfalfa Combination Hay Cubes back in stock.

Yes they are 35% Teff Grass and 65% Alfalfa.

And the good news?

The price is the same as the Oat & Alfalfa and the straight Alfalfa Cubes.

Teff Grass is proving to be an excellent replacement for the more expensive Timothy Hay.

If your horse is having digestive or metabolic problems, Teff Combination Cubes may be a good option for you.

Check out this website and others to find out for yourself.
